My name is Aris. Aris is pronounced (heiress) and I'm not sure what the meaning is. Several years ago, when I was asked what my name meant, I replied that Aris was a Greek Sexx Goddess (what can I say I'm a romance writer). Unfortunately, my husband happened to be near, he looked over at me, rolled his eyes, and said very loudly "I wish". I've moved on to another story, which happens to be true. I was born in the seventies to a pair of hippies, real hippies. Having said that, I think I got off lucky with the name Aris. It could have been much worse, Fruit Stand or something like that. So, Aris it is.

Repurposed Wine Bottles

Repurposing is so big right now. Personally I love the idea and I love to see how creative people can be when they repurpose an item.
Currently our recycle bin is filled with wine bottles.  Each is so different and visually appealing—it seemed ashamed to just toss them.  This got me thinking…
Check out some of these great ideas for repurposing them.

  1. Oh I love all of those! You know I am surrounded by wineries, right? I can't quite figure out the first picture???? is it planted upside down so the plants are coming out of the bottom? and if so, what is keeping them in? I love the look, I am just not sure how to do it.
I also love the 4th one down, the circle with the plants and candles. Well actually I like them all! But those are my favs.

  2. I didn't know you are surrounded by wineries...just another reason I need to visit you ;o)

I looked at the first pic too, I think they are vines so the bottles are filled up with dirt and then the plant is "threaded" inside ???

I handed a bottled to my hubby yesterday and asked, "Can you cut this?" his reply was, "With what?" I'm thinking I might have to choose a design that doesn't require cutting...LOL
